At a Glance
Vaughn is a tall woman with brown skin; she has a strong, broad build with a layer of fat. Her thick, dark brown hair is mostly straight with a slight wave, it brushes just past her shoulders. She tends to wear it both loose and tied back into a low bun. She has dark brown, hooded eyes, with slightly arched brows, and a broad nose with a simple, silver ball piercing in her lower lip (labret). She is nearsighted and typically wears tinted prescription glasses or sunglasses. She has single lobe piercings, a gap between her top front teeth, and a prosthetic for her right hand.
Vaughn prefers Western-style wear, and is rarely seen without her signature embroidered cowboy hat and boots. She color coordinates her outfits and takes care in her appearance. Never seen without her glasses, hat, and boots, she will occasionally accessorize with rings, necklaces, and bolo ties.
Vaughn has a colorful personality, she is generally friendly and very extroverted. She enjoys trading stories and gets along well with most; she's excellent at carrying a conversation while still ensuring everyone has a chance to be heard. She uses terms of endearment like "hon" and "sweetie" casually.
History
Vaughn was adopted by her uncle, Dale, and his husband, Dakota; she calls them her dads. They already had her identical twin brothers via surrogate, Cody and Tucker; they are six years older than she is. She grew up in (the in game equivalent of Arizona) on her family's ranch. She had a disciplined but supportive upbringing, though as The Baby, she was afforded a lot of leniency. That being said, her family is very supportive! They definitely speak regularly, and visit for holidays.
Vaughn participated in ROTC in high school and graduated Salutatorian, though she was not recommended for enlistment due to her glib attitude. She went to college for Forensic Science (it seemed interesting to her), with a minor in Kinesiology (pe teacher was a backup). After graduation, she moved to Santo Ileso to look for work. She met the besties while looking for a place to live, and did temp work for about a year before finally enlisting with Marshall.
For Fun :>
Vaughn's first full name is Valenia, though no one has ever called her that. As a child she went by Val and has been known as Vaughn since high school. Her family calls her Tater Tot (Tater, Tate, Tot, and TT are frequently used substitutes) and her brothers are called Spud-Bud (Spud and/or Bud) and Fry (formerly Small Fry).
Vaughn is left-handed, she was born without part of her right hand. She received a prosthetic around junior high (12-13) and completed physical therapy before her first year of high school.
She has a 3 year old nephew named Saul from her brother, Tucker (Fry) and his girlfriend, Penelope.
Vaughn is a Libra, ENFP and Sanguine. She is Chaotic Neutral.
Vaughn loves mysteries, puzzles, and shows with complicated storylines. I think she could also get really into professional wrestling for the plot. As a teen, I think she definitely would have run a fan blog and participated in discourse over her favorite series. She's competitive but not obnoxious about it, she's a good sport and a team player!
What's in her pockets?
- Smartphone with custom monogrammed case, a matching leather wallet with $8 in cash and several bank cards, her driver's license (legit), an invalid work ID, a nearly full punch card for a local smoothie shop, a winning scratch off (she keeps it for luck), and a picture of her family at her birthday party two years ago.
- Glasses cleaning cloth.
- Vanilla scented hand sanitizer in a cat shaped sleeve.
- Wireless ear buds in case (half-charged).
Vaughn's partner Pokemon would be either Litten or Incineroar. I can see her bringing the Incineroar with her, but I also see her as just having the Litten at home (like Snickerdoodle). Idk if she would have both or just the one. I'm leaning towards her just having the Litten (Snickerdoodle) and it just staying home/being a pet. Though Incineroar suits her well:
- Incineroar's rough and aggressive behavior is its most notable trait, but the way it helps out small Pokémon shows that it has a kind side as well.
In Animal Crossing, ignoring gender restrictions -_-, she would be a Smug Tiger, her phrase would be "hon", she would have the play hobby, prefer white and purples, and she would enjoy a cool or active style. white cowboy shirt / white outback hat / sunglasses
